This training covers foundational topics such as radiation physics, health effects, and units of measurement, along with practical skills in contamination control, radiation monitoring, and hazard identification. This training equips RCTs with the information they need to effectively perform their duties and ensure worker safety by maintaining exposures As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA).
8 hours are awarded on the certificate for this training based on anticipated time to complete all training modules and review all relevant reference material. Depending on a student's familiarization with the topics and reference material, this time to complete the course may vary, but will not change the number of hours awarded.
