Benzene is a highly flammable liquid which is widely used in the USA and is used as a basis for other chemicals and is a natural part of gasoline and crude oil. Benzene can cause dizziness, unconsciousness, or even death with a short-term exposure at high levels. Benzene is linked to causing cancer in humans and may affect bone marrow and blood productions with long-term exposures.
This course will provide a general awareness of the effects, and risks associated for those who work with Benzene along with the OSHA regulatory requirements. This training is in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.1028(j)(3) Information and Training and OSHA Construction Standard for Benzene, 29 CFR 1926.1128
